Publication of the Call for an Expression of Interest initiating the Tender Process for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study for the 2.13-ELEG-S-M-25-GREGY-STUDIES Project (Tender No. 03/EIA)

ELICA MEDITERRANEAN ELECTRICAL INTERCONNECTION SINGLE – MEMBER S.A. (ELIKA MESOGEIAKES ILEKTRIKES DIASYNDESEIS MONOPROSOPI ANONYMI ETAIREIA) (ELICA), announces that it has released the Call for Expression of Interest initiating the Tender Process for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Study for the 2.13-ELEG-S-M-25-GREGY-STUDIES Project (Tender No. 03/EIA) by virtue of which it invites all interested economic parties to express their interest for conducting the above Study.

ELICA, a company of Copelouzos Group, is the project promoter/owner of the GREGY Interconnector Project which concerns the electrical interconnection of the electric power systems of Egypt and Greece, with a transmission capacity of 3.000 MW and a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) voltage of ±525 kV. It consists of two (2) bipole systems with dedicated electrodes to be installed at each end of the interconnection.

The project is included in the 2nd PCI/PMI list of the European Union and ELICA is beneficiary of European Union funding under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

Interested parties wishing to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI) to participate in the tender process are kindly requested to send an email to info@gregy-interconnector.gr, to the attention of Mr. John Karydas.

Deadline for the submission of the EoI is 15/07/2026, 17:00 Athens Greece time.

The relevant Call for the Expression of Interest, including all relevant information, will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union and can be also found at ELICA’s website: https://www.gregy-interconnector.gr/pressrealeses.html.
